The President of India owns a significant 60.79% stake in NMDC Steel, holding approximately 1.78 billion shares without any financial obligations as per the Securities and Exchange Board of India's (SEBI) norms for the fiscal year 2025-26.

NMDC Steel has announced that Anurag Kapil will take over as the new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Director of Finance, effective March 31, 2026. The current CFO, K Raj Shekhar, is stepping down on the same date.
